Turning Hooks for the Pole Lathe (Pre-order)

Hand-forged from premium spring steel (EN47) or O1 tool steel they come sharp and ready to use, featuring a single internal bevel and a slightly hollowed exterior for easy sharpening.

Designed and refined through over 10 years of turning and forging experience, these hooks are made to the same high standards as my own tools. Suitable for both pole and electric lathes (use at your own discretion).

End Grain Work: Pair the Plunging Tool with the Politician Hook for efficient hollowing and a clean finish.

Each tool is made to order (allow 3–4 weeks for delivery) and tested before shipping.

For custom shapes, grinds, or nesting tools, get in touch — bespoke requests are welcome.

 Care: Maintain the edge regularly (every 10–20 minutes of use) using a fine needle file for the inside and a flat stone for the outside. Handle with care — keep tools sheathed and sharp!
