Hassui ceramic is a durable glass coating for wood developed by renowned Japanese furniture maker Toshio Tokunaga.
The coating penetrates beneath the surface of the wood, creating a water resistant barrier, protecting from stains and preserving the natural look of the original wood. This product is ideal for chairs and other wooden furniture, cups, spoons, tool handles and more.
Application is easily done with a brush that cleans up with rubbing alcohol. This product has passed Japanese Food Contact Safety Standards. Hassui Ceramic Wood Finish is not a nano coat finish but a Si (silicon) base finish.

Recommended application & use
Apply a minimum of four very thin coats, allowing 24 hours between each layer.
Once the final coat is applied, allow the piece to cure for a minimum of two weeks before use.
To avoid contamination, pour a small amount of the product into a separate container rather than dipping your brush directly into the original tin.
Discard any unused product after application.
When fully cured, Hassui Ceramic Finish creates a durable, water-resistant surface suitable for both hot and cold liquids.
